Scrap busting and Christmas Wishing.

Hello, I hope you are all prepared for Christmas and looking forward to the festivities?

As you may know from my last blog, I have been busy with my scrap busting and I did promise you that I would share what I made with the selvedge fabric I made.

I decided to make some boxes using my "Quilt as you go" 4" House template, here are some pictures of my process using the selvedge fabric for the centres of the houses.

I cut some lovely blue spot for the backing (and the lining), and went onto make for houses.

I then joined the 4 houses to form a plus sign.

Then sewed up the edges to form the box.

I got a bit carried away and made another one, but they are really good for storing all my new fabric fat 1/4's from Moda.

Dave and I went to a local garden centre to get our "jingle" on yesterday, as they always have amazing decorations, ice skating the works. I couldn't resist taking some photo's of the reindeer, they were so beautiful and I'm hoping they might inspire me for Christmas 2019 (I've already chosen all the fabrics, can you believe it!!).

Well I wish you all a "Very Merry Christmas and New Year" and until next year Happy Sewing!!

Love

Nicola X
