Don't Throw It Away, Repair!!
As some of you may know I used to be a Fashion Designer, so as you can imagine I have always liked to be a bit different and stand out from the crowd.
One way I like to do this is to customise clothes and textiles and a great way of doing this is is using repair techniques, like patching, embroidering, or Boro (this comes from Japan where cloth is layered to patch holes and is stitched on top).
I love the fact that we can repair something and in doing so makes it really unique.
So this months Project Postcard is to get us practising techniques (on a small scale) to then have the confidence to repair and wear!
