Oh It’s Cold Outside…..
Although it’s cold and everything looks bleak there is still so much beauty around, so this month I am celebrating that with a winter tree.
As I sit here on my computer there is a beautiful bare tree in my neighbours garden and this was the inspiration for this months design.
You can create the tree using various techniques and like always they it only uses a minimal amount of fabric so why not have a go.
I have played with some applique, some ‘not so’ freehand machining and some embroidery.
My favourite was the embroidery (even though it took me a whole evening of stitching) the end result is gorgeous, I was inspired by Indian textiles where they use a chain stitch to outline and fill in the designs, why don’t you have a go?
