This months postcard is inspired by one I made using scraps and when I had finished it looked like a landscape. I was then inspired to make it look more like a country view and at the time I had been admiring David Hockney's latest work. This is how this months postcard was born.
This postcard is fantastic for using up scraps and although its an applique project there is great opportunity to use embroidery as well.
The first postcard below I have used invisible thread and a zig-zag stitch to applique the shapes on, the second postcard I used a variety of embroidery stitches to do the applique and add some interest, its a great way to practice your embroidery.
