Coverage of my day at the Hochanda studio's

Last Sunday saw me back at Hochanda filming my Daisy and Grace show and I thought you might like to share my day and see some behind the scenes photo's!!

It made a really nice change that I wasn't going on my own, I took along Steph one of my "angels" who helps behind the scenes (I couldn't survive without all my lovely volunteers).

I packed up the car with sewing machine, demo's, change of clothing (I have to take 3 sets of clothes, just in case I clash with the presenter, they aren't suitable, or I spill something!!)

It was a longer than normal drive, the traffic was crazy, and I ended up going a way I had never been before. That meant I couldn't stop to get my normal coffee and sandwich :(.

We made it, although we were 15 minutes late, oopps!!

Straight into the studio to start setting up.

The lovely Jack and Howard, stage managers, helping get the tree in position and stopping for photo's.

Steph was helping hang the quilts and decorate the tree, while I was busy getting myself organised setting up my machine, getting demo's into order etc.

All done!!

Now time for my meeting with the director, producer and presenter to discuss how they want the show to go, what demo's I'm going to be doing to get cameras ready, what products are going to be featured etc. etc. etc.

Chris, Dave, me and Lottie part of the dream team!!

Now for a quick 5 minutes in the green room before its.....

On with the show!!

You will be able to catch the show on the above link for a month.

It was an amazing show with a sell out of one of my template sets while on air, and others selling out after the show!!

Then everything happens in reverse, take down the set, clear up, pack up, quick meeting with director and producer to see how the show performed.

Quick sit down before we leave, although I really wanted to do this......…

I hope you enjoyed my day at the studio as much as I did (I think Steph got a little bored!! lol.....)

Happy Sewing until next time.

Nicola and Steph XX
